aka "Saif"

Leadership: al-Qaida **RF1**, **RF2**

Adel, an Egyptian national, was indicted on December 20, 2000, by a federal grand jury. Although it is believed he did not play an active role in the actual bombing of the embassies, it is reported that he sat on al-Qaida’s consultation council as well as the military committee. It is also believed he played an active role in Somalia where 18 U.S. servicemen were murdered by al-Qaida trained men. He is currently at large.
